Colors thoughtfully applied and carefully
manipulated create the soft, gentle atmosphere
so characteristic of my paintings. Subjects
that speak to my heart are gathered, arranged,
added to, rearranged, and edited until there
is a feeling of natural beauty, balance and
comfort. A painting style in the classical
tradition excites me. I look to Sargent,
Vermeer, and Degas for inspiration.
Oils and pastels . . . Soft, gentle, comforting.

Growing up with much artistic encouragement and support from
family and friends, she began drawing and painting as soon as

in Minneapolis. In 1989 she started her own design business creating
illustration, graphic design and promotional materials for clients locally,
nationally and internationally.
Driven to expand her artistic knowledge, combined with
a love for the fine arts, she studied drawing and painting on her
own, and in 1996 began an individualized course of study at the
Minnesota River School of Fine Arts in Burnsville, Minnesota.
In 2006 Christine became part owner of Savage Arts Studios.
are all a part of her portfolio. She is a member of the Lake Country
Pastel Society, the Minnesota River Artists Guild, a Board Member
of the Savage Arts Council and the Burnsville Area Society for the
Arts. Her work is shown locally and out state, and she has won many
awards for her paintings. Her paintings are in several private
collections. Christine maintains a studio at the Savage Art Studios,
where she paints commissions and creates personal works of art.
