EXPLORING PASTELS with Christine Tierney Thu 9AM to 12PM Get started or increase your skill level in pastels! This class will include discussion on the variety of pastels available, painting surfaces and grounds, composition, technique, value, color temperature, and the step by step process of creating beautiful pastel paintings of your own. Paint from still life set up or landscape sketches and photos. Demos by the instructor are an added plus. Beginning to advanced artists welcomed! Instructor - Christine Tierney has been an advertising designer & illustrator since the 1970s. She was Classically trained in oil and pastels at the Minnesota River School of Fine Art where she taught part time and had her studios.
