All Levels welcomed. If you have been wondering how to start working it portraiture? or If you wish to build stronger drawing or painting skills in your portrait work, this class is for you! Louise will teach students to draw or paint from live portrait model (included in price).

Learn to use natural light and traditional methods to develop a likeness and character of the model. Learn to translate nature into shapes, form and composition. Students will receive lots of individual guidance in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Learning to draw portraits is the precursor to learning to paint portraits, so students may continue from drawing into painting next session. Students wishing to paint may work in oils or watercolors to translate values into a color form.

Saturday Afternoon for Teens 13 to 18 - Drawing & Watercolor Painting 12:30 to 3PM

Instructor - Louise Gillis

Noted oil painter and watercolorist Louise Gillis is an accomplished representational artist, who studied at the University of Minnesota and completed a four-year program at Atelier LeSueur in Excelsior with additional studies at Atelier Lack in Minneapolis.
