About Savage Arts Council Savage Arts Council was founded in 2006 by a small group of residents that were interested in the arts being represented in the community and region. Within that first group, we had people from a range of backgrounds and careers. The one thread in common was the love of the arts from visual to performing to written and so on. In our first meeting we all said "OK now we're here, so now what do we do?" I think we were all relieved when Bob Burns from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) came bounding in late to join us. Thus, began one of the most significant relationships with our organization.
Through the years, we have continued to mine relationships within Savage , Scott County, Minnesota and the Mid-West. Our goal is to support the programming, events and services that best support our arts community. We are an active organization that typically has been able to add new events each year while continuing to support those earlier efforts. Thus far in our organizations history, we have launched, supported or provided funding for the following events:
