Brian Stewart is a native Californian who has made Minnesota his adopted home for the last 30 years. His early training was at The Art Center in Los Angeles and later at Atelier’s Lack and LeSueur in Minnesota. He currently is an instructor at The Atelier, Minneapolis and does multiple workshops for outdoor painting across the country each year. He is a signature member of the exclusive Plein Air Painters of America. Brian’s work has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur, Southwest Art, and The Artist Magazine among others. He has received many awards for his plein air work and most recently an ARC International Salon award. When not painting, he pursues his other passion, the banjo.
