2010 Juried Art Show Judge

Savage Arts Council announced that Richard Kochenash of Chaska, Minnesota, will be the judge for its 2010 Juried Art Competition. Kochenash trained at at Atelier Le Sauer and studied with Richard Lack. He has instructed for over 20 years in the Twin Cities including The Edina Art Center, Hopkins Art Center, Savage Art Studios, Minnetonka Art Center and The Minnesota River School of Fine Art. WEEK OF JUNE 14TH - All juried works will be added to our 2010 web show gallery online here AND a slide show presentation will be launched on Savage Public CTV Access Channel for the summer.

When was the Arts Council founded?

Savage Arts Council was founded in the fall of 2006 by a group of local Artists and Citizens. So we are a young group still!

Who can join Savage Arts Council?

Our name may say "Savage" but our heart and membership is open to ALL MINNESOTA Artists, plus Savage Residents and Businesses.

What is the goal of the Arts Council?

Our goal is to promote all of the "Arts", not just visual Arts. We hope to build programs that touch all the Arts and interests of our citizens. So if you have a program or idea for a Arts project or program, bring it to us and we'll see if we can help.

Are the monthly meetings open

to all members?

Yes, they are! We meet the third Tuesday of each month at Savage City Hall from 5:30pm to 7pm (except in August). Come and join us!

This event is designed to provide local artists the opportunity to display and sell their fine art to a broad audience of potential buyers that may not be familiar with their artwork.
