Outdoor Painting with Mike Rada:

The 2 1/2 day workshop will include lectures, painting demos, painting out doors, information sheets and lots of encouragement for all who participate.

 
Supply list:
 
  • Portable easel
  • Wooden pallet
  • Brushes (bristle brights and or flats sizes 2-8.  Bring larger sizes if you already have them)
  • Pallet knife for mixing colors
  • Odorless turpentine for brush cleaning
  • Soft paper towels (Viva brand works great)
  • Plastic grocery bags (to dispose used paint towels)
  • Oil Colors:
    • Titanium or Flake white (a descent white by Winton is available at Michaels in 120 ml tubes at a reasonable cost),
    • Ultramarine Blue,
    • Permanent Red Medium,
    • Cad yellow lemon or Cad Yellow pale
    • Warm Gray
    • Cool Gray 
    • If possible, please use brands other than Winton for these colors (white as stated above is OK).
    • A Wooden Match
  • 5-10 6"x8" Canvas boards.  No larger than 11"x14" unless you are a very experienced painter.  
  • Hat and or sun umbrella
  • Water bottle
  • Bug repellant
  • Sun screen
