				Our Mission Savage Arts Council is committed to organizing and promoting artistic projects and events within the City of Savage and surrounding communities, and to provide regional leadership in the arts.
2012 - 6th Annual Juried Art Competition and Show
	2012 Award Categories Oil Painting Digital Media Water Media (Watercolor, Acrylic) Pastel Painting & Drawing Medium Photography 3 Dimensional (sculpture, pottery and glass) The Savage Arts Council invites all amateur and professional artists to enter the 2012 Juried Art Competition and Show. The show is open to anyone who lives in Minnesota, and entrants may submit up to two original works. *Community Show Dates to be announced* Competition dates will be announced by the first of the new year.	2012 Awards will be: Category Awards 1st Prize per category $100 2nd Prize per category $50 Honorable Mention will have 2 per category Best In Show $200 (one overall) The Marion W Savage, People's Choice Award is $100 (one overall) Total Awards $1,200 Award Ceremony - The live award ceremony TBA. Darrel Tangen to be new 2012 Juried Art Show Chair The Savage Arts Council is pleased to announce that the 2012 Juried Art Competition Event Chairperson will be Darrel Tangen of Savage. Tangen is a professional Photographer and Instructor of Photography at Dakota Technical College and Savage Art Studios.
	2012 Juried Art Competition and Show Volunteers Needed There is always so much to do for a competition such as this, and we are are looking for people to be involved. The committee will need people to coordinate volunteers, plan the reception, hang the show, artist intake and pick up.
