6 wk Session Price: $150

A students welcomed from age 13 to 18.  The core of any art program is drawing.  Students will draw in pencil to develop the eye to observe line, proportion and shape.  Students will then progress to learning techniques of watercolor, mixing colors, flat washes, graded washes, importance of warm and cool colors, and defining values.  Students begin by learning to control the simplest combinations and proceed, step by step, to the more complicated one, perfecting their techniques as they go.

Instructor -  Louise Gillis

Noted oil painter and watercolorist Louise Gillis is an accomplished representational artist, who studied at the University of Minnesota and completed a four-year program at Atelier LeSueur in Excelsior with additional studies at Atelier Lack in Minneapolis.
