Louise Gillis

Enjoy this multi-medium class of artists working on their own projects with instructor Louis Gillis.  Artist's pick their won projects, while Louise works with each to create a individualized learning experience.  Louise assesses each artists skill level and works with them to develop their art skills to the next level.  Students may work in a variety of mediums including:  oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, charcoal, graphite, pastels.  Students are encouraged to work from life but may also work from photos.  Subjects are up to each student, but could include: Cast Drawing; Landscapes from photos or sketches; Still life; Portraiture or your own specialized project.   All levels welcome. Adults &Teens +16. Minimum 6 students.

Wednesday Afternoons: 1PM to 4PM

Noted oil painter and watercolorist Louise Gillis is an accomplished representational artist, who studied at the University of Minnesota and completed a four-year program at Atelier LeSueur in Excelsior with additional studies at Atelier Lack in Minneapolis.
