Nationally recognized artist, Louise Gillis has agreed to teach two specialized outdoor painting workshops this summer for SAS. The first is designed for watercolorists, and the second for oil painters. Each will help students to train their eye and hand to filter their surrounds to paint directly from nature. The class will meet on location throughout our South of the River communities. Learn valuable lessons on paint handling, mixing color, drawing, composition and values. The instructor will paint demos and give informative handouts. Louise Gillis is an Atelier trained artist and you can see more of her work at www.louisegillis.com. Two separate media specific outdoor painting workshops in beautiful rural Minnesota. Adults. 6 Minimum.
Instructor - Louis Gillis: Noted oil painter and watercolorist Louise Gillis is an accomplished representational artist, who studied at the University of Minnesota and completed a four-year program at Atelier LeSueur in Excelsior with additional studies at Atelier Lack in Minneapolis.
