Outdoor Pastel Workshop:                                      Landscape Painting in Pastel with Christine Tierney
Have fun and develop your pastel skills "en plein aire", which is French meaning "the quality of light and atmosphere outdoors". We will take advantage of the beautiful Minnesota weather and colors, and paint on location south of the river. Christine will share what she has learned to help make your outdoor painting experience a little smoother. You'll learn how to work fast to catch the light and shadows. Color and values will be explored, as well as composition, technique, and aerial perspective. Strong drawing skills and previous pastel experience preferred. In case of inclement weather, classes will be held indoors at Savage Art Studios. Adults. 6 Minimum.

Instructor - Christine Tierney has been an advertising designer & illustrator since the 1970s.  She was Classically trained in oil and pastels at the Minnesota River School of Fine Art where she taught part time and had her studios.  Christine is Marketing Manager and a Signature Owner of Savage Art Studios.  See Christine's Artwork
